About the Role
Mylight150 is looking for an experienced General Manager / Country Launcher to lead our market entry strategy and establish our presence in Spain. This high-impact role combines strategic thinking, operational execution, and leadership to drive growth in this new market.
You will define the roadmap, build a high-performing team, and collaborate with global teams to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
👉 Your Responsibilities
Market Entry Strategy
- Conduct thorough market research to understand local demand, competition, customer behavior, and regulatory landscape.
- Develop and execute a tailored go-to-market strategy, including positioning, pricing, and product adaptation.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as distributors, partners, suppliers, and government agencies.
Business Development
- Identify and generate business opportunities to create a strong client base.
- Drive direct sales, foster strategic partnerships, and adapt sales strategies to fit the Spanish market.
- Ensure the scalability of sales models, including both direct-to-consumer (B2C) and installer-driven (B2B2C) approaches.
Brand and Market Positioning
- Establish and promote the mylight150 brand through marketing initiatives, PR campaigns, and local events.
- Align the value proposition with local market needs to maximize impact and resonance.
Team Leadership
- Oversee daily operations while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a local team, fostering a culture of innovation and performance.
- Set sales targets, monitor KPIs, and support the team in achieving objectives.
- Work collaboratively with global teams (product, marketing, finance, HR) to streamline operations.
Strategic Alignment and Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and executive committee on market progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Align Spain’s activities with global strategies and adjust as needed to meet company goals.
- Ensure all local operations meet global standards and processes.
👉 What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Development, or a related field (an MBA is a strong advantage).
- 5+ years of experience in leadership roles, with a track record of success in launching and scaling businesses.
- Native Spanish speaker with fluency in English or French
Key Success Factors
- Proven expertise in market entry strategies and business development.
- Skilled in both direct (homeowners) and indirect (installers, retailers) sales models.
- Strong analytical skills to shape go-to-market strategies based on market data.
- Familiarity with Spain’s renewable energy market is a significant advantage.
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills to overcome market-entry challenges.
- Autonomy and adaptability in unstructured environments.
- Understanding of the dynamics of fast-growing companies and the ability to scale sustainably.
